Concessional Licensing

The club offers Concessional Licensing to its members. There are two schemes available.

Code 404 provides for very low cost registration which has limited use for cars in three ways.

  • It is applicable to cars over 25 years old.
  • Stamp duty on change of ownership does not apply.
  • Cars must wear small HISTORIC plates or stickers with the number plates.

The Unique & Historic category is presently in abeyance as changes are under review by the Dept of Transport. Refer to the Handbook for full details, link below.

Details of the new C4C scheme are available in a link below. This applies to cars older than 1990, is a lesser discount on registration fees and stamp duty applies on transfer of ownership. Cars must wear RESTRICTED USE signage adjacent to one number plate. Thirty days of private use and sixty days of club events are allowed and a logbook must be kept updated under the C4C scheme.
